The roadmap describes sequence, not promised dates. Each phase requires a documented exit gate.
Phase 1 — Governance & agent environment
Product definition, migration principles, repository boundaries, core profiles, branch protection.
Exit gate: Product vision and core principles documented and approved. Profiles can be installed and validated locally. No secrets in repositories.
Phase 2 — Minimal bootable Developer Preview
- Pinned stable/LTS kernel
- Reproducible kernel configuration
- Minimal bootc system image
- Automated QEMU boot and smoke test
- KDE Plasma, Mesa, and firmware
- Winnux Welcome 0.1 with language and region selection
- English and Swedish
- AMD/Intel variant
- NVIDIA open variant
- Verified rollback
Phase 3 — Product experience
- All Winnux components
- Compatibility databases
- Live hardware testing before installation
- Accessibility and complete localization
- Physical test lab
Stable release
Stable release additionally requires:
- Signed supply chain
- SBOM/provenance
- Incident process
- Broad physical hardware verification
- Human release approval
