Winnux governance defines how decisions are made, how contributions are approved, and how the project stays healthy.
Winnux has five core profiles:
Architectural decisions are documented in ADRs (Architecture Decision Records) under docs/adr/. Each ADR is numbered and dated.
Protected branches require human approval for merging. AI agents may not merge their own pull requests.
Each component must state its license. Kernel-related material follows the Linux kernel licensing. Third-party software and binary drivers are distributed only in accordance with their respective license terms. Winnux itself is distributed under the Posttyp A-IPv4 license — see the License page for details.
