Update the system

Winnux updates atomically. This means the entire system updates as one unit — no half-finished updates.

How updates work

  1. Winnux downloads a new system image in the background
  2. You get a notification when the update is ready
  3. You decide when to restart
  4. On restart, the system switches to the new version
  5. The old version is saved for rollback

Update manually

Open Winnux Control → Updates and click "Check for updates".

# Terminal (advanced):
bootc upgrade

App updates

Apps are updated separately from the system via Flatpak. Winnux Store handles this automatically.

# Terminal:
flatpak update

Automatic updates

By default, Winnux downloads system updates automatically but does not restart without your approval.
