Rollback the system

If an update causes problems, you can easily go back to the previous working system version.

Automatic rollback

If Winnux fails to boot three times in a row, the system automatically boots the previous version.

Manual rollback

Via Winnux Repair

1. Open Winnux Repair
2. Select "Restore to previous version"
3. Choose which version to restore to
4. Confirm and restart

Via boot menu

1. Restart the computer
2. In the GRUB boot menu, select "Winnux (previous version)"
3. The system boots the old version

Via terminal

bootc rollback

What about my files?

System rollback normally does not erase personal files. Your documents, photos, and settings are stored separately from the system image.

After rollback

After rollback, the previous version runs. You can either stay there or wait for a new update that fixes the issue.
